Hamlet Street

"Neither a borrower nor a lender be"

Christopher Plummer as Hamlet, 1957

Hamlet is a ghost street named for a ghost play. Though Hamlet Street appeared on the 1922 map, it was never opened and is now part of the Douglas property at 45 James St., Stratford Festival garden parties were held for many years. Hamlet, the moniker chosen for the street, was drawn from Shakespeare's famous play of the same name. By: Stanford Dingman
