Burnham Court was named in honour of Alfred Burnham
Alfred Burnham was a well-known florist in Stratford. In 1870, W. H. Burnham established the florist business on Water Street, on property that stretched south to Cobourg Street. It was a large business, and in its greenhouses were propagated one of the largest assortments of flowering and foliage plants in the district. Source: Streets of Stratford 2004
