Born in 1896 in Antigonish, N.S., Dr. Joseph A. Boyd was one of Stratford's most public-spirited citizens.
He was a prominent member of the board of education . He offered his services to many of Stratford’s residents and became president of the Ontario Dental Association. His office was on 11 Market Place and he and wife wife Rose lived at 37 Douglas St. Source: Streets of Stratford 2004
