Alex Abraham

Alex Abraham was born in Stratford in 1872. His first job was as a printer at the Stratford Herald (see Market Place). In 1901, co-founded the Jeffrey and Abraham job-printing plant. 

He was an active member of St. James Anglican Church and prominent in the both the Masonic and Odd Fellows organizations. For many years he was as a member of the Stratford board of education, and involved with the city's Progressive Conservative association. He lived at 295 Ontario St. and his office was at 49 Downie St. Source: Streets of Stratford 2004
